4 weeks old today!

To start off, Shiloh is four weeks old today. A lot of firsts have happened in the past four weeks. He has gotten to meet all of his cousins, all of his aunties and uncles, his granny from Tucson, his great Grandparents Jensen, and a myriad of our close friends. He is growing like a weed! I can't believe how big he is already. We did our own unofficial weigh in at home and he is now over 9 lbs. I think that I am going to have great mom muscles in my arms from carrying him around.
Last weekend we were able to bless Shiloh in our home. It was such a beautiful experience! We were able to have a lot of family there and it just made the whole experience that much better! We have such a great kid. I just adore everything about him. Not that we haven't had our frustrating times or our lack of sleep, but he is completely worth it.
Something else that these past four weeks have brought, and it isn't very happy, is a cold for Shiloh. :( We have have had countless sleepless nights listening to the poor guy cough and snort. We thought all was getting better, but last night he sounded a bit worse and when he woke up his whole right eye was sealed off and goopy. I called the pediatrician this morning and they said I have to go in. So we will get to experience another first among all of the other firsts that we have experienced thus far... taking a sick kid to the doc. I do have to say, to whomever gave my poor little guy this infection, you stink! I guess I can say that because I don't know who it is and I don't run the risk of offending anyone in being generic. Well, needless to say, I have felt so bad and been so worried about my little man. Hopefully he gets better soon, and we can try to get back to some sort normalcy at the Williams home. All in all, the past month has been great. I have loved getting to know the new little person in our home. He fits in just perfectly.

  1. Ohhhhh, poor baby. Let me know how the Dr. appt goes. So sad.

And that is pretty amazing that in one short month he was able to meet so much of his extended family. Pretty rare. We are all so happy & blessed to have him in our family.

I'll be praying that he gets better soon.

  2. Poor baby...and parents. Sorry for you to have to experience a cold so soon. Unfortunately it won't be his last! Hopefully he will bounce back quickly. I miss Shiloh so much. What a treat for me to get to spend some Grannie time with him. I look forward to our Skype time until we can see each other again. You're a great little family!
    XO Grannie

  3. Sorry I am sure that my sick kid germs may have been passed around even though they weren't near the baby. My kids never get sick, but I am sure they carry the sick germs around all the time. Don't hate us too much :) I hope that he gets better soon. Sick kids are so sad because you can't help them as much as you want to and you wish it was you sick and not them. We will be praying for him.
